We are excited to announce the launch of a new, complimentary resource for the Take the Lead! program called Games and Activities – Options for Physical Distancing.

The safety and wellbeing of children and youth as they return to their school and activities is our top priority. 

Last weekend, SPRA hosted a Take the Lead! Leadership Coach and Trainer workshop in Regina.

The Lakeland District for Sport, Culture and Recreation (LDSCR) is leading a school-community partnership with Population Health Promotion Practitioners and schools to support SPRA's Take the Lead! program.

Because of Take the Lead! Ecole Centennial Community School in Regina, SK has Grade 6-8 students running their own intramurals program!.

SPRA is offering financial assistance to schools or community organizations who are engaged in offering the Take the Lead! initiative.  Grants will be administered at a maximum of $500.00 per applicant.  Funding can be utilized to facilitate a Take the Lead! program at your school or community, which includes training Youth Leaders (students) and a Leadership Coach to run a Take the Lead! program in your community or school. Funding can also be used to send a representative from your school or community organization to participant in a Take the Lead! Train the Trainer workshop.
