Forever...in motion Celebrates 10 Years in Regina!

I was honoured to attend the Regina Forever…in motion 10th Anniversary celebration on October 13th at the Mâmawêyatitân Centre, along with my colleagues Candace Yuhasz and Maeve McKinnon.

This special gathering saw more than 70 volunteers from Regina and surrounding communities come together to learn and celebrate the success of Forever…in motion. We enjoyed the opportunity to connect with these passionate and dedicated Forever…in motion Leaders, and hear firsthand how the program has impacted the physical, social and emotional health of older adults.

As an added bonus to attending the 10th Anniversary Celebration, we got to watch Kimberly Willison from the Saskatchewan Health Authority demonstrate how to keep our bodies and brains healthy with new fitness equipment and music.

It was wonderful to see the enthusiasm and excitement in person that Forever…in motion Leaders have for this program.  We were also happy to share information about SPRA’s Forever…in motion grant, our Resource Centre, and the ongoing partnership with Saskatchewan Health Authority in the delivery of Forever…in motion throughout Saskatchewan.

The three of us want to congratulate Forever…in motion Regina and Area for a fantastic 10 years! Thank you for inviting us to attend. We are grateful to all the volunteer Leaders are helping their older adult peers to stay Forever…in motion!
