Description: Yin is a form of yoga practice that places safe, healthy stress on the connective tissues, primarily in the lower back and hips. Participants are given the opportunity to hold the Yin poses for longer periods of time to encourage the connective tissues to relax and regain ability to function in their normal range of motion. Each participant is encouraged to adjust the poses and length of time held to what feels best for them. Yin Yoga is excellent "cross-training" for very active yoga practices and also encourages physical and mental release of stress.
Prerequisite for Certification: Basic Yoga Teacher Certification
