Free Online Event

Presented by Scot Johnson – Cimco Refrigeration, Saskatoon

A lot has been learned through the COVID-19 pandemic for the recreation industry including the need to review our environmental cleaning and disinfecting practices, and overall building health.  As Saskatchewan moves into higher states of reopening for the fall, the recreation industry needs to ensure that we meet or exceed the public’s expectation that we are actively responding to their need for safe spaces.

As the science evolves around the transmission of COVID and its variants, it is becoming more apparent the virus is spread by airborne transmission.  This online event will talk about ways to improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) through utilization of existing building ventilation and alternatives when your building has little or no ventilation system(s).  As important, this event will address the lack of ventilation systems for smaller community rinks and what options are still available.

Learning Outcomes:

  • COVID transmission – airborne
  • Importance of Air Quality
  • Safe facilities
  • ASHRAE – who they are & standards
  • Ventilation and Filtration
  • Public expectations
  • System types and options
  • Sterilizing Options
  • Maintenance and PM program
