Course Description: This course provides an overview of Asset Management and Capital Planning for municipal recreation practitioners. This course is designed to help supervisors, managers, directors, volunteers, Boards, and Council develop sound management practices to improve the overall management of fixed assets and lengthen their useful life. Proper asset planning and the implementation of preventative maintenance practices benefits your department and community. Recreation examples and tools will be discussed and provided during the course.

This course was updated to mirror the resources of Asset Management Saskatchewan (AM – SK).

Course Information: Course starts at 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A working lunch will be provided.

Who is this course for: Recreation practitioners that have supervisory responsibilities over asset management and budgeting.

Prerequisites: Laptop computer is recommended.

Mode of Training: The course is designed to provide a balance of classroom instruction.

Course Materials: Registrants will receive an Arena Operators Level 1 binder of the topics covered in the course.

Accommodations: It is the responsibility of the registrant to arrange and pay for accommodations.

Meals: Meals are included in the registration fee.

Health & Safety: A facility tour may be included with the session and proper clothing and footwear is recommended
