About this Program

The goal of the Indigenous Fitness Leadership Certification Program is to educate Indigenous individuals to deliver culturally relevant, safe, community-based fitness programs within Indigenous communities. 

If you are committed to an active and healthy lifestyle and would like to learn how to support, motivate and energize people in your community, this Certification Program is for you!

The Certification Program requires a commitment to 56 hours of in-class learning time over 3 weekends.

Applications must be received by the South East Sport, Culture & Recreation District office no later than August 15, 2019.

This program is hosted by South East District with support from the Government of Saskatchewan, Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport and the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA). It aligns with the Framework for Recreation in Canada and the Common Vision for Physical Activity.
