Green Jobs Initiative Returns in Spring 2021

The Canadian Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA) are re-launching the Green Jobs Initiative in April 2021, with funding available as early as May 1, 2021. 

The Green Jobs Initiative:

• Provides 50% wage subsidies to municipalities, Indigenous communities and other sector organizations to hire youth between the ages of 15-30.
• Supports jobs placements between 4-16 weeks in duration.

Green Jobs can include park horticulture and landscaping, parks operations, parks planning, parks technicians, biodiversity, outdoor play/park facilitators, parks ambassadors, interpreters, and more. Highlights from the 2018-2020 program can be found at www.greenjobsinitiative.ca.
