October 18, 2019 – The Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2019 Saskatchewan Communities in Bloom program, and recognize all thirty-six of the provincial participants a very successful year. Communities in Bloom participants work towards enhancing their community in relation to six criteria: Tidiness, Environmental Action, Heritage Conservation, Urban Forestry, Landscape and Floral Displays.

The winners of the Saskatchewan Communities in Bloom program, and all participants involved, were recognized at the SPRA Awards Gala during the 2019 SPRA Conference in North Battleford on October 18, 2019.

Special recognition was also given to communities representing Saskatchewan in the 2019 National Communities in Bloom program. The following communities’ achievements were recognized at the Communities in Bloom National Symposium on Parks & Grounds, in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on September 25-28, 2019: Melfort, Kinistino, Maple Creek, and Indian Head

Communities in Bloom continues to assist in building communities across Saskatchewan through the hard work and dedication of these participants.
