A Framework for Recreation in Canada 2015 – Pathways to Wellbeing provides a new vision for recreation and identifies common ways of thinking about the role of recreation in Canadian life, based on clear goals and underlying values and principles. The Framework has been endorsed by the Government of Canada, Provincial and Territorial Ministers, the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association, Provincial and Territorial Parks and Recreation Associations and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
To ensure the sustainable, long-term implementation of the Framework in Saskatchewan, SPRA will continue to assist our members, as well as communities, decision makers and provincial governments in using the Framework to guide their work and support recreation.
SPRA is seeking the input and feedback of the membership regarding the implementation of Framework for Recreation in Canada in your respective communities.
By sharing these examples, we are helping each other to create sustainable, long-term solutions for recreation in our Province.
