Resources & Advocacy

"Physical literacy is the motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding needed to value and take responsibility for engagement in physical activities for life."

Canada's Physical Literacy Consensus Statement

What Is It

Saskatchewan's Physical Literacy Workgroup are passionate individuals and organizations working together to increase the physical literacy of Saskatchewan children and youth.

What's New

We asked you (leaders in the sport, recreation, education, and physical activity sectors) to tell us about developing children's physical literacy through your work and/or your volunteerism. The survey findings have been compiled and want to support you on this physical literacy journey! See the survey results here.

Take Action

In November 2020, the workgroup launched saskphyslit.ca. Check it out for a bit of fun and a collection of resources from around the country to help explain physical literacy, why it's essential and how we can use it in our work.
