The guidance and leadership provided by our volunteer committees makes a significant contribution to the development of the parks and recreation sector in Saskatchewan.
The following Committees are currently active:
Parks and Open Spaces Advisory Committee
The Parks and Open Spaces Advisory Committee supports SPRA as an advisory body in the areas of programming, recreation, natural parks, constructed parks and stakeholder engagement.
Fitness Advisory Committee
The Fitness Advisory Committee provides recommendations, advice, information and support to SPRA on matters relating to the development, promotion and advocacy efforts of the Fitness Leadership Certification Program.
Facility Advisory Committee
The Facility Advisory Committee provides recommendations, information and support to SPRA staff on matters relating to the operations and development of recreation facilities in the province.
Aboriginal Advisory Committee
The Aboriginal Advisory Committee assists SPRA to address topics of accessibility, awareness, capacity building, leadership and volunteer development, and specific funding initiatives in relation to programs and services accessed by Indigenous populations in Saskatchewan.
CPRA Professional Development Certification (PDC) - Saskatchewan Advisory Committee
The Professional Development Certification Advisory Committee provide recommendations, advice, information and support to the SPRA Consultant – Leadership and Evaluation on matters relating to the Saskatchewan promotion and implementation of the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association PDC program.
