Although this years celebrations will look a little differently than previous years, as SPRA's Inclusion and Access Consultant, I wanted to share a few of the great, virtual events happening provincially in recognition and celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day:
1) June 19, 2020 Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day with Sask Polytech!
SaskPolytech are offering a full day of free events and traditional Indigenous education on Friday, June 19th.
2) June 22 at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Powwow lessons with Spike Eaglespeaker Jr.
Join the Alberta Recreation and Parks Association and special guest star, Spike Eaglespeaker Jr to help us celebrate 2020's National Indigenous Peoples Day! This free online session will be a dynamic opportunity to be physically active, take part in a cultural experience, and get your powwow dance moves on! Connect with Spike in this culturally themed webinar that will give you a new appreciation of the power of song and dance.

3) All Month Long - To celebrate National Indigenous History Month, the Royal Saskatchewan Museum (RSM) is streaming a special series of online programs to recognize the unique cultures and contributions of the Indigenous people of Saskatchewan.
