Executive Director

With the assistance of HMC Management Inc., https://hmcmanagement.net/ the Board is seeking the services of a qualified Executive Director (ED) to provide professional leadership and direction for the Lakeland District for Sport, Culture and Recreation.


The Lakeland District for Sport, Culture and Recreation Inc. is a volunteer-based non-profit organization formed in 2008 that facilitates community development and coordinates District networks to enhance access to sport, culture and recreation programs and services in the east-central area of the Province.


District staff help communities assess their needs and provide services and information to help them access a wide range of sports, culture and recreation programs and services that can enhance the quality of life and community vitality through increased participation.


The successful candidate will work with a 9-member Board of Directors. The head office is in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and the successful candidate will be required to reside within the Lakeland Region.


A Post-secondary diploma or degree in sport, recreation or culture would be preferred. However, an equivalency of experience and education would be considered. Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund and the sport, culture and recreation delivery system, along with experience in grant research and proposal preparation, would be an asset.


The salary range for the position is $77,350 - $91,000 for the right candidate who meets all the Board’s qualifications and expectations. The application deadline is May 2 at 12 noon and only those candidates selected to be interviewed will be contacted.
