Many people are turning to the pool environment to enjoy the unique benefits of the water. Learn the properties of water and how exercise in the water differs from land-based exercise. 

This 20-hour practical course provides considerations required when planning and leading fitness classes for older adults. This course is based on NFLA performance standards and guidelines.

Topics covered include: use of equipment, pool organization, principles of water, effects on body movement, safety in the water environment and use of music.

Note: A minimum of 4 hours of course time will be spent in the pool.
